Trout Fishing

This week the trout were being caught in numerous locations looks like the pines, the main rec. the rock-wall, scow canyon and a new addition is Sobrante cove, power-bait , in garlic, green, yellow and red as well as mice tails are what produced the fish.

Lake Conditions

Lake Level: 304.4
Surface Temp: 65

Fish Plant: We planted 1400 lbs of Mt Lassen Trout at the main rec. on 5-9-16.

Fish Tales:

Sallie Hill of Vallejo caught a 6.9 lb trout using garlic power-bait at the pines on 5/10/15.

Danny Chao of Concord caught a 5.6 lb trout using power-bait at the main rec. on 5/12/16

Paul Lucchesi of San Francisco caught a 4.8 lb trout using yellow/red power-bait at the rock-wall on 5/12/16.

Frank Rodriguez of San Francisco caught 2 trout using a worm/ green power-bait combo in scow canyon on 5-13-16. (Camera Shy)

Bob and Liam Shaw of Oakland caught 7 trout the largest weighing 2 lbs using mice tails in Sobrante cove on 5-14-16.

Nico Marquez of Pinole caught 3 trout using power bait no location given on 5-14-16. (Camera Shy)

Park Information

The San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area is now open for the season with the hours during May being 6:00 am to 7:30 pm and boats needing to be off the water by 6:00 pm. The Boat Launch.
