Two Tournaments and a Kid's fishing Event made for a very busy angler's weekend here at Lake Camanche.

Those that reported favorite baits this week listed powerbait, rainbow powerbait and spoons.

Just outside the buoy line at the dam, south shore day use and the pond were all listed for best spots to fish.

North Shore Main Courtesy Ramp is now open! South Shore Courtesy Ramp is still at low water ramp #1 until the new ADA walkway is completed down to the ADA dock. 1,800 lbs. of Mt Lassen trout were planted on Tuesday 4/26/16 with 600 lbs. going into the pond, 300 lbs. intothe children's pond, 300 lbs. at the south ramp and 600 lbs. at the north ramp. We are expecting a delivery this week but have not been given the details as of this report.

Lake Camanche continues to fill as Pardee Lake keep up their heavy releases. As of this report Pardee was releasing 1,592 C.F.S. while Camanche is only releasing 400 C.F.S into the Mokelumne River.

As Lake Camanche warms up and an extra-large plant was delivered to Pardee fishing was slower at both the pond and lake this past week. Those that did come to Camanche weren't disappointed. Catfish, bass and trout were all hot this week. trout baits reported at the fish cleaning station were red garlic scented powerbait and mouse tails.Water temps continue to rise as well with anglers reporting 67-71 degrees.
