Royal Polaris Fishing Report

3-25-2016
Royal Polaris Crew

Hello everyone; Well our morning was a big ZERO!!! That’s what we caught in the morning, but once the lunch bell went off, it was game on. We had excellent fishing from noon until dark. Not wide open, but steady.

Most of the fish were in the 140 to 160 range, with the largest going 172.6 pounds.

Jerry Brown big fish jackpot winner again was Kirk McCoy, this would be Kirk second big fish honors this trip. Kirk also caught another fish at 171 pounds. We only caught one Wahoo today, but we spent most of the day on anchor. It was a mixed bite on Sardines and the kite.

We are hoping for an early morning bite, but so far this trip, it hasn’t happened. Weather continues to be good, with overcast skies, 12 to 14 knots of breeze and warm. We have 3 full days left, so we are hoping things will continue to be good, but we are hoping for a morning bite. So until fingers and keyboard meet again, good luck and good fishing.
