Well we closed it off the exact same way it started, and remained, throughout the voyage. Slow scratching, one at a time, we picked our way to a decent tally heading north north east in the early evening satisfied that we squeezed in a few “extry” hours of fishing time, and have something to show for it. Ironically I must say that the signs encountered mid afternoon give strong reason to believe that the promised land is finally on the upswing. Of course this notion stings some, as we have fought, kicked, scratched, and clawed our way along during the past eight day awaiting a shift, but such is fishing.
Either way our time in paradise is currently done. Onward and upward we motor north tomorrow in decent traveling conditions. Scheduled for a Sunday morning arrival in Cabo San Lucas the vast majority of anglers will disembark opting for sunshine and margarita's for a day or two before meeting the boat in San Diego on Wednesday. Photos for the day feature Royal Star veteran Scott Jarrett pulling on a good one, and first time big fish angler Frank Smagacz with his dandy 125 landed in the eleventh hour.
If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.
