Ranger 85 Fishing Report
2-20-2016
Frank Ursitti - Ranger 85
Hi Anglers,
It's hard to believe that March 1st is right around the corner.
It seems we were just offshore on multi-day trips targeting tuna, wahoo and yellowtail. 2015 was an exciting season full of adventure and great scores throughout the year.
What lies ahead in 2016?
Currently water temps are above normal and good catches of yellowtail are being made south of the border.
We begin our season as always fishing the Channel Islands.
Both the Ranger 85 and Constitution are ready to go and we are anxious to start the year.
We have put together a great schedule of multi-day trips on both boats fishing San Miguel, Santa Rosa, San Nicolas and Santa Barbara Islands. I feel this spring we will see exciting trips packed with action on quality rockfish, big halibut, white seabass and spring yellowtail.
The Channel Islands will be on fire once again!

Hi Anglers, 2015 is far from over. Schools of larger Yellowfin and Bluefin are still biting and Wahoo are staying well within one day range. Dorado and Yellowtail fishing has been consistent. Limit style fishing continues to be common among the fleet. The Ranger 85 and Constitution have had a very successful year and we thank all of you who fished with us this season. We are looking ahead to 2016 with our schedule of trips and plan to publish...... Read More
