Weather today was a bit breezy in the morning, but by late afternoon, it was 10 to 12 knots of breeze and clear skies.
Fishing was very good today, with three category's of fish. One school was the 70 to 90 pound fish, another was the 120 to 140, and 150 to over 250 pounds. It was excellent fishing on the kite. Top angler today was Dane Shota, with a 280 pound giant. This is Dane's first long trip, and he gets his fish of a life time. Dane was very lucky that he got that fish. Half way through the battle, the fish died. So it was like pulling up an anchor on a rod and reel. We still have 6 full days left of fishing, and we are hoping that the fishing continues to be excellent for us and the fleet.
We stopped the boat at 07:30 hours and never started up again until dinner, one stop shopping!!!
We tried for bait again tonight, but it was a bit tough. There is a school of Dorado around the boat and the crew is catching some for a dinner. Big "D" tired to bounce a large Dorado, and broke a rod in doing so, way to go "D".
So with note, I will close for now, until tomorrow, wish us luck.
