Hey folks-
Hey folks- We caught a few yellowtail last night in the dropper loops but even though we had fish under us all night they neglected to bite. After day light we pulled the anchor and looked around our tuna zone from yesterday and saw nothing. Not even a single tuna. We started glassing and looking for any sign of life and off the island a few miles we spotted some porpoise jumping. We headed that way for what seemed like forever but when we finally got on them the sonar lit up. Under the porpoise was a giant school of tuna and they boiled and bit right away. The show these fish put on what was one of the best I’ve ever seen. 100+# yft coming six feet out of the water chasing bait and competing with each other. Our first drift was for three hours and when it dried up we went back to search mode and picked off another one. We had three great schools for the day and ended up with an amazing catch. We are going to try for yellowtail again tonight and then give it a try for a few hours in the morning before we have to head for home. Wish us luck!

The fish put on a real show blowing out around the boat constantly. It was no problem getting bites in 80 and 100# line and had a steady kite bite going. ...... Read More
