Hey folks-
Well the island was back to it’s glorious self this afternoon. Shortly after arriving we found a nice school and shortly after getting the anchor down we hooked our first fish, which ended up going 125#! We kept 3-8 going until dark. The fish put on a real show blowing out around the boat constantly. It was no problem getting bites in 80 and 100# line and had a steady kite bite going. The smallest fish we landed was 69 pounds and we had several over 100# with the big fish going to Michael Fowlkes that taped out at 140. We also had a nice snap on the yellowtail right after dark that just added to an already amazing day. The the water did cool down a little from last trip but it didn’t seem to matter. The biggest change from last trip to now is that we had steady current all afternoon. Steady current really gets the fish fired up and in a biting mood. Hopefully tomorrow we can start off right right away and get some more of these gorgeous fish. Wish us luck! We will check in tomorrow.
