Hey folks-
We left today on another 5 day trip down to the island. We received a beautiful load of bait at the receivers of nice sized sardines and mackerel. After a very detailed seminar on rigging up and fighting big YFT, we spent the rest of the day rigging up, checking drags and putting on fresh line. The weather was calling for lots of wind and swell but luckily the weather man was wrong and we had a nice ride down and across. Our last trip was a little slower than it has been but the sign of fish was still incredible. We are hoping for more current this trip and for the fish to be a bit more eager to bite. We should be to our destination about 1330 tomorrow. Wish us luck and biting fish!

Hey folks- We caught a few handfuls of yellows last night in the dark all 18-35#. At sunrise we pulled the anchor and looked around last trips zone. Black porpoise glided over and marked fish for us making them easy to find. We got the anchor over and the fish gathered up on us and after a few minutes we hooked our first fish. We kept 1-4 going for a couple hours then the current completely died. We pulled the...... Read More
