We moved up from the tuna grounds yesterday in preparation for the 15-20kt wind forecast. After making a tank of bait in a downpour rainstorm, we started up the line and woke up to more of the same. After the defined squall lines went through, the weather forecasters unfortunately were correct with their wind predictions. We rolled up [literally] the ridge and found very little to fish for with only a few yellows caught here and there on the shallow spots. We are going to try for a few wahoo tomorrow as we have plenty of beautiful yellowfin in the hole waiting to be utilized when we get home.

Today's picture is from a few days ago. No, it is not a nail that we used to hammer the cows with - it is a reminder of the extreme pressure that the gear is under when fighting these big fish. For the big fish that was lost when this hook straightened, we landed a multitude more on the same style hook showing that even the best tackle sometimes isn't enough.
