Royal Polaris Crew
Hello everyone; Weather continues to be good, with 10-12 knots of breeze, sunny, and warm. We had a wicked Wahoo day, with the sharks. So let me tell you how Roy came up with the idea of keeping the boat in gear while we pull the Wahoo away from the sharks, and it worked for all but one Wahoo. We call it Wicked Wahoo fishing. Not only are you fighting your Wahoo, but you are pulling on it with the boat in gear (about 3-5 knots), not for the weak armed person’s.
So when the boat get’s in and you see a few anglers with larger right arms, than everyone else, it’s from Wicked Wahoo fishing. We ended up with a better catch of Wahoo today than yesterday, but it was still slow. We are now headed to Cedros Island and try our luck at some Yellowtail and making some early morning bait. We also landed a handful of Yellowtail during the day, but that was our day. So wish us luck and we will keep you updated on our daily events.
