Royal Polaris Crew
Hello everyone; We arrived to Alijos rocks at 11:45 hours, started trolling, but the Wahoo didn’t want any of our trolling lures. So Roy decided to drift fish for the Wahoo. It would pay off for most of our Wahoo today.
Most of the Wahoo were in the 30 to 45 pound range. It was a very tough day of fishing, but if you put your time in at the rail, you would be rewarded with a Wahoo or two.
We did lose one Wahoo to a faulty Marauder, but that’s just bad luck I guess.
We will give this another try tomorrow, hoping that the morning bite will pay off for us. We are now anchored up and will try for bait and Yellowtail tonight. We ended our day with 4 Yellowtail, 15 Wahoo, and 3 Yellowfin tuna. Greg and Alex prepared a wonderful dish tonight. Panko Wahoo, over a bed of rice, with tender string beans, and a bread pudding for desert. So wish us luck and we will report back to you tomorrow.
