Channel Islands Sportfishing
Great fishing continues here at the Channel Islands with the Yellowtail capturing most of the attention. Something different today was what one of our boats caught offshore. The Mirage had an adventurous charter group go big and go offshore for tuna. The gamble payed off and they caught limits of Bluefin and a hand full of Yellowfin Tuna for the days efforts. Other than Yellowtail and Tuna there are plenty of other species to be caught here as you can see on our fish count.
Today’s Fish Count: 9 boats and 203 anglers
37 Yellowtail, 44 Bluefin Tuna, 10 Yellowfin Tuna, 2 Skipjack Tuna, 113 Bonito, 75 Calico Bass, 6 Sand Bass, 4 Lingcod, 25 Sheephead, 72 Ocean Whitefish and 726 Rockfish.
