07/30/15 Zero to report in the way of catching today; a result that did not elicit any surprise in light of the pattern established in this zone over the past few days. From the handy fisherman's excuse book we pull the “wrong time of day” explanation, seems plain enough, as finding the fish was definitely not the problem. Knowing that this was a distinct possiblity, and driving by and away from abundant smaller fishing en route to this destination, we are yet undeterred. We are here, the weather is epic, and we are loaded with the right bait to make it happen. Tomorrow will tell. Photos today are courtesy of David Itano and ISSF. Other than Albatross and a stunning sunset there wasn't much material on this deck worthy of the lens today. These images were taken during a scientific cruise in the Western Pacific a couple of years prior. Grateful for the material, and still after almost two years mesmerized by the incredible images David captured and shared, this was another of those perfect occasions to draw from the archive. Enjoy.
