Channel Islands Sportfishing
The ghosts of Channel Islands humble the entire fleet with a big no show as a floatilla of vessels surged to the location of yesterday’s big bite. Even local boats struck out on the Yellows with only a hand full of biters reported. Scrambling to salvage the day, our boats made the best of things loading up on nice Reds, Lings and other bottom species. Some boats opted to target Calico’s with rather good success. Overall, this was an average day in search of WSB and Yellows. As it so often it happens, these game fish will drive you nuts chasing them. So hard to tell when and where, and even then sometimes you see them and they just won’t bite. We can only plug away and enjoy the day no matter the outcome. Tomorrow brings new hopes and only one thing is for sure, they will bite again!
Today's Fish Count: 11 boats and 280 anglers.

Some boats are making bait on the water before they start fishing. We do have nice live bait in the wells in the form of large Anchovy and medium Sardine. Some boats have found live squid on the fishing grounds, so we recommend everyone bring a squid snagger if they are going on one of our overnight or full day boats. Be sure to ask one of our representatives about tackle requirements for the specific trip you either booked or would like to book. Online booking is always available through our landing website but you can also call us here at the landing to speak with a live person.
