We fished offshore again today. We located an area of kelps holding yellowtail that ranged from 15 to 30 pounds. Our best kelp was for 30 of that grade fish. We also had a few scattered strikes on yellowfin tuna and a few bait fish to go with them. Our shot today is of Steve Hogan and one of his nice grade yellows. Brian

Departure

Today we departed on the Baja Fish Gear 8-day open. After baiting up and heading out, we found an area of fish that was reluctant to bite. As is the norm for this boat, when we don't like what we are seeing we head off in hopes of finding something better. We will be prospecting offshore tomorrow.
