Fish Report for 5-9-2015

Cisco's - Saturday count & report

5-9-2015
Channel Islands Sportfishing

Fish-a-plenty for the majority of the boats today! Bottom fishing remains great in this area with better than average quality Reds and other assorted Rockfish coming up. There were also a few nice Lingcod caught today. Pictured here is Mark Morgan from Santa Clarita holding his jackpot Lingcod on the Erna B this afternoon.  Bottom fishing is still dominating the scene here at the Channel Islands with only flashes of surface action. Every few days we seem to run into a few “free swimmers” like the Spanish Jack and Barracuda with the occasional Yellowtail or White Seabass. The season is young so use this time wisely to fill your freezers before the summer bite begins!

Today's Fish Count: 10 boats and 232 anglers.
2090 Rockfish, 82 Lingcod, 27 Ocean Whitefish, 2 Sheephead, 1 Sculpin, 3 Sole, 1 Calico Bass, 27 Spanish Jack and 4 Barracuda.
