We are enjoying flat clam weather traveling up. The Catchy Tackle group indulged in a huge buffet yesterday evening with chef Perry McMillan adding some new dishes to the already impressive spread, like stuffed greenlip mussels that were simply amazing. We would like to thank our sponsors and those who donated for the trip. Catchy Tackle , Eagle Claw, Avet Reels, Seeker Fishing Rods, Izoreline, Five Star Fish Processing, Ron Huth Bullet Bombs, John Bradfords custom made Wind on Leaders, Peter Wight and the donated fresh Lobster, Herb Prince with Elk Steaks, and of course Doug Delany with the huge supply of fine Kunde Family Wines for each night's dinner throughout the trip. We didn't score on the big cows although we did have some shots, but we are coming home with a fine catch anyhow, with 221 Wahoo, 126 Yellowfin, limits of Grouper, and a couple handfuls of Yellows. As with every trip on the Intrepid we are coming home with lifetime memories, great friendships, and stories of an epic Wahoo bite one rarely gets to experience. ETA 0600

3-15-2015We made a stop at the rocks were we picked off a few more handfuls of nice grade Wahoo, a few yellows, and had some fantastic grouper fishing. Everyone landed many of the tastey bottom dwellers to take home and share with their friends and family. We will continue our way home with another chance to stop and break up the ride. The weather has been really nice coming up and looks to stay that way all the way home....... Read More

Fishing finally started to turn around here this morning with action on 60-170lb fish and a couple shots at bigger models. Unfortunately both of the big fish we did hook are still swimming around getting bigger as both of them broke off. Wish we could stay for another we day, but it's time to head up the line. We will have a window to stop along the way for the Catchy Tackle gang to wet some lines and break up...... Read More
