A leisure day spent fishing around the islands for a few yellows and one nice seabass. The yellowtail angling was good but we didn't target them spefically after doing so well yesterday.
We are presently traveling up in beautiful weather and will spend the rest of the trip targeting tuna.
Today's shot is Royal Star regular Mike Shannon with his first wsb, a 45lb beauty.

08/31/14 We got the trip off to a fine start today with stellar angling on quality 18 to 25lb yellows in flat calm weather. Classic long range style yellowtail fishing with all methods working while they put on an impressive show. We are moving down tonight to try for a little variety tomorrow. 08/29/14 The weather was a bit challenging but we were still able to put together a worthy day on bft. We had two long drifts that produced 32 from 30 to 50lbs with most of the bites coming on small mackerel. I'm sure there will be plenty more good fishing on the bft grounds when this weather comes back down. We will be departing on a seven day tomorrow.
