Balmy flat calm weather and great fishing to get the trip started on the right foot today. It started out with a shot in the dark then settled into a slow plunk the rest of the day, a perfect big fish pace. We ended up with 38 yft, five of which made the mark ranging from 216 to 265 while the rest were 70-170lbs.
With six more days we are settling in with hopes it keeps up.
George Alfaro is in today's shot with the fish to beat so far at 265.
