Round two of today's update will be the abbreviated version - lack of computer savvy still blindsides me on occasion eliminating some of my finest daily narratives. In short all enjoyed a fine day of giant yellowfin angling boating five jumbos, the biggest of which weighed in at 308 pounds. Long time Royal Star veteran Warren Sakamoto receives high honors for a catch that included some team work with veteran crewman Blake Wasano.
Not just big fish action, plenty of "filler" 50 - 120 pound fish satisfied the catching urge during the off periods when the cows were content to take a time out and chew their cuds. Weather and conditions promise to hold, and show marked improvement that will only add to the good times already had. Pushing into the moon the question of course is will the big fish remain in the shallows vulnerable to our offerings. We shall see.
Photos today assign proper honors to Charter Master Bart Ryder both while pulling on a highly spirited 244 and with his trophy coming over the rail.

12-15-201312/14/13 A good beginning featuring the exact size and species we are after. A handful of opportunities at giant yellowfin yielded four in the hatch, the biggest of which weighed in at a respectable 292 pounds. There were a few other chances, and also good afternoon action on mixed size yellowfin from 50 - 130 pounds, making for a well rounded day overall in plenty decent conditions. No reason to seek greener pastures we staked our claim, dug out the picks...... Read More

12/13/12 The last leg is always the longest. But now it is done; we are ready to fish. Good enough weather, and much better to come, sets the stage for just shy of a week in the zone. Rather than depend upon the photo archive we are looking for something fresh out of the water to share. Perhaps we can accomplish such in the next few hours. Garry "Big Fish" Sato does the morning honors with a 204! Tim Photo Here......... Read More
