The challenge when fishing this big bft is not just finding them, it's finding
them when they want to bite. The stars aligned for us this morning on both
counts as we got on a school at daylight that responded right away and flat got
with it until we called it and headed for home at 1030. We ended with 100 of
these beauties from 50-80lbs, incredible finish to an already great trip.
Tim will be departing on a six day tomorrow so look for his reports on the 15th.
Today's shot shows the impressive average with crewmember Paul Caramo on the
gaff for Ralf Stier.

07/12/13 Steady angling and beautiful weather in the offshore grounds today. We started the day with a quick ripper for 25 bft from 50-70lbs then strung together numerous schools of 18-30lb yft for daily limits. We hit quite a few schools of jumbo bft throughout the day but they were not in the right mode. The sign of 50lb plus bft is phenomenal and spread over 60 miles. I anticipate some incredible angling on the upcoming trips. Russ Steyer shows Kimbrough what a...... Read More

07/11/13 We hit numerous schools of medium to jumbo bft today, some of which put on spectacular shows. Unfortunately they were reluctant to bite and didn't want to stick with us. We managed to boat 13, most of which were 50-60lbs with 4 trophies from 120-140. Our weather is beautiful so we're staying offshore hoping they bite tomorrow.
