So far the big bold move in search of greener pasture has produced the kind of change that I dread. Terrible
conditions greeted us upon arrival with blustery, comparatively cold winds, formidable seas, very tough working
conditions, and zero sign of what we came for. A resounding thud in almost every respect; and certainly a decisive
fall from grace. Ouch!

A fair catch of "skinnies" assuaged our consternation to some degree; and a few shots at tuna, that were ironically
the same size as what we found about 600 miles to the southeast, brightened the outlook some, but I have to admit
that the grave reality of the situation is hard upon us. It is what it is though, and we are here; time to dig in
and demonstrate our worth.

Speaking of digging in, first time Royal Star angler, but no stranger to long range, Cathy Needleman pours the
coals to a Clipperton tuna a few days back in tuna fishing paradise - for some.

It looks like tomorrow will be markedly different as stiffer trade winds are forecast. Either way the ride north, and weather, was inevitable. Keeping this in mind we make progress to the northwest satisfied with the notion of good things to come. Photo for the day features accomplished angler...... Read More
