Qualifier Crew

We spent the day off shore hunting for kelp and biting fish. There was no shortage of kelp but most of them were lacking the other part of the equation. We did manage to scratch up a handful of wahoo and dorado. We are still enjoying decent weather and are hoping the fishing improves soon. The highlight of the day was the nice wahoo that Dominic Cardoza captured on a wahoo bomb. After a few mad dashes back and forth across the stern he managed to bring the toothy beast to gaff, much to the delight of everyone on board. Chef John treated us to a succulent rib dinner with his homemade BBQ sauce.

Today the fishing wasn't what we expected. It definitely got a little tougher, much to our dismay. We saw good signs of life all day, we just couldn't seem to locate the biting fish part of the equation. This morning we were happy to be awoken surrounded by big dorado. What a way to start the day, many anglers didn't even have a cup of coffee before we decked a nice Dodo.
