The weather has been indescribable for the last 4 days. The flat glass weather made spotting kelp paddies a pleasure. Once we stopped on these kelps the Dorado would instantly make their presence known. Also spicing up some of the kelps were the free swimming wahoo which sometimes bit and sometimes didn't. At the end of the day we caught limits of Dorado and three handfuls of wahoo.

Today was an all-show and no-go type affair. It's easy to get frustrated when the endless search for fish is rewarded with no bites. Throughout the day we saw several spots with the same sign on machines (as far as good ones are concerened) as we did in past years. One of our code boats fought a good fish for a couple of hours only to lose it at deep color. It was guesstimated at 240lbs equipped with long sickles. We...... Read More
