Big Tuna Spotted!
10-6-2007
Bill Roecker
Royal Polaris and Royal Star are two long range boats recently taking a look at the waters below Mag Bay. When skipper Billy Santiago Jr. called the Let's Talk Hookup radio program on 1090 AM Saturday morning, he said numerous schools had been seen, with fish up to 175 pounds clearing the water. Billy said his anglers had caught some tuna over 100 pounds, and that there was good sign of 50 to 80-pound yellowfin as well. This is good news to long rangers for the new eight and ten-day season, beginning in October.
