Captain Johns Fish Report 09-21-07

9-21-2007
Johnny Williams

Today's offshore fishing trip by the partyboat Capt. John was a charter by Pulte Homes. This Houston area group of 30 was headed up by Tim Winchester. Having beautiful weather and a calm Gulf to work with, Capt. Tony Langston pointed the twin hulls of the Capt. John to the south. That turn after passing the end of the south jetty was the beginning of a 40 mile offshore run.

Baits that were worked from near the surface to the bottom were pieces of cut squid and or Spanish sardines. Their targets were wrecks and rigs in 95-105 ft. of water. Those baits and the fishermen's efforts produced this catch.
?Ģ 60 red snapper to 8 lbs., a boat limit
?Ģ 10 mangrove snapper to 8 lb.
?Ģ 20 lane snapper
?Ģ 26 Atlantic spadefish
?Ģ 9 blue runner
?Ģ 20 gray triggerfish
?Ģ 1 lady fish
?Ģ 2 ling of 40 lb. each

To book both individual trips or a "team building" company charter, call the Capt. John's office at Galveston's Pier 19, 409-762-8808 or 713-223-4853.
