Fishing had been great for halibut and bass before the winds really kicked in. Halibut continue to be plentiful. Paradise is the best spot with Southhampton and Angel Island are worth exploring. Bass are at the Brothers. Last week the bite went into the frenzied stage with most of the fish averaging 15 pounds. Troll the shoreline or anchor near China Camp-Pumphouse or drift with the shiners. Good tides are on tap for this weekend as well as improved weather. 415-456-0321.
