Next Stocking Tuesday, February 13th

Last trout stocking was on Tuesday night, Feb. 6. The average size was 3 lbs for a 2000 lb load. Fishing since the stocking has been fantastic. Trout have been biting every where. Many anglers are getting limits quick throughout the day. Fishing has remained good all day. The best fishing spots from the shore is next to the concession building to the point & down by the launch ramp. Fishing from the boat seems to be productive in front of the dock, by the bubble hole & tree pipes. The best baits to use have been rainbow, orange & chartreuse power bait, and chartreuse & pink power worms.

David Alexander, 5 yrs, from Pico Rivera caught his 1st fish ever using rainbow power bait on shore next to the concession building. The beauty weighed in at a whopping 3 lbs. Way to go David!!
Matthew Williams, 11 yrs, from Laguna Niguel caught a 3lber using a green power worm from a boat in front of the boat dock. Good job!!
Garrett Neamand from Ladera Ranch landed a 2.4lber on a pink power worm on shore next to the boat dock.
Bass fisherman have been doing well down by the dam & in deep water. The bass are in a pre spawn. The average size has been 3 lb with anglers reporting at least 10 within the day. The pig-n-jigs and nightcrawlers working best.

Fly fishing has been awesome down in the flats & especially over by three pipes. Olive with a gold bead & the Zebra midges have been the ticket.

Attention anglers: if you would like to be mentioned in the weekly fish report and have your picture taken and posted on the webpage, just come to the concession building and ask no problem!!
