Hey anglers,
We had an excellent day fishing at Cedros Island today! We caught yellowtail in the 20-30 pound class. The primary method was a fly-line mackerel or a sardine on 30-40 pound test line. The weather was great as we were fishing in the lee of Cedros with sunny skies and calm seas.

We have some first-timers on board from Virginia that had a great day. Brooks Giller and his dad Paul did well, and Uncle Fernando Melendez had some fun today. Grandpa Fernando Melendez from Chula Vista arranged for the family to go on this trip to celebrate Brooks' 15th birthday tomorrow (Sept 19). What a great gift! We are happy to have them aboard.

More tomorrow from Cedros Island as we are staying another day.

We got a sample of 20-pound yellowtail and everyone got to wet a line and get acclimated. We are going to try for mackerel tonight to top our bait suply. ...... Read More
