Monterey Bay Fish Report 09-12-07

9-12-2007
Bayside Marine

The inshore fishing was good for the anglers how fished Halibut and Rockcod. There were some good reports of Halibut up north and some big Rockcod caught up at Ano Nuevo. The Salmon are still being caught here and there in the Soquel Hole down deep. The few boats who went out for the Albacore caught a few fish near the Guide. The scores ranged from 1-4 fish a boat but I did not hear from many boats. The weather report was looking windy so not many boats ran. There were 2 boats who went out at noon because the wind was 3 knots not 25 knots. It looks like it will be good for a few more days so go looking for the Swordfish, Albacore, Yellowtail, Opah, and Dorado. I will be gone for a few days looking for the Cow Yellowfin in Puerto Vallarta. I will not be posting so please call the shop at 831-475-2173.

I fished near 36'55/122'49 and 37'00/123'02 and ended the day with 17 fish. We caught our fish on Yozuri Hydro Mags and Zukini Clones. The live bait was the key for us today. We had stops of 5-9 fish after chumming and sending out the live bait. The Salmon are on the bite at 36'50/122'00. ...... Read More
