Hey anglers,
We made it to Cedros Island and caught some mackerel for bait last night. We fished the south end of the island in the morning and caught a few good-grade yellowtail.

We left there mid-morning and moved up the lee to try a spot or two. The report from the day before was favorable so we made a move.

We arrived at a spot that we have done really well in the past and had excellent fishing for mixed grade yellowtail. Most of the fish are in the 20-pound range with a few smaller.

The primary method used was flyline mackerel or sardine with 30 or 40 pound test line. There were a few fish caught on dropper loops on the bottom.

We had lots of fun and we are hoping to fish the coast for more yellowtail tomorrow.

Hey anglers, We travelled today and looked for kelp paddies all day. We are headed for Cedros Island to try for that great yellowtail fishing. We did see af ew kelps but only one had fish on it. We landed 13 good-size dorado and released some small yellowfin tuna. The albacore fishing was good again today so that is encouraging for the next trip. Our timing was off on that deal. We had the wrong day again! Timing is everything with those...... Read More

Hey anglers, We fished albacore today and the fishing was great, but the catching wasn't. We saw a lot of fish today but we could not get it to bite. We started seeing fish right after daylight and continued to see fish until dark. So we kept busy but unfortunately it was one of those days where we should have been here yesterday. We had 10 albies for the day. We are headed for Cedros Island to try for those quality yellowtail....... Read More
