Shogun Sportfishing Fish Report 09-09-07
9-9-2007
Bruce A. Smith
This afternoon the Shogun arrived at San Benitos Islands. Capt. Norm anchored up the boat at "The Boiler" and we immediately started hooking 20# class yellowtail. The bite was steady for a few hours and toward sunset the current and the fishing slowed down. In an hour or so we will arrive at Cedros to be in position for tomorrows fishing at the south end. This week there have been some great fishing for 30# and up yellowtail and we hope to mix it up first light tomorrow. After dinner the passengers and crew are going to fish for a tank of small mackerel to augment the full load of sardine on board. There might be a few surprises like a big flattie or a sea biscuit or two.
