he fishing for Salmon was a little slower today but there were some scores of 1-3 fish for the boats looking hard. The fish have been running deep around 145-200 feet. The Rockcod fishing was great for the anglers who worked near 4 Mile Beach on the edge of the kelp beds. There are a bunch of Barracuda being caught in Capitola along with a occasional Seabass. The weather looks good for a Albacore run for the next 3 days. The last report of fish was around 36'11/122'23 but there are probably some fish a little closer. I did not get any reports of Halibut today but the swell has been dropping. It looks like a nice weekend to come out and fish.

The Salmon bite is still going decent for the anglers who are working the Soquel Hole. The best bet has been trolling Purple Haze Hoochies or Red R.S.K's down 120-200 feet down. The water was a little lumpy but there were some anglers who worked Ano Nuevo and had some decent scores of Rockcod. The wind and swell is stopping boats from going offshore. Maybe by this Saturday or Sunday we can run for the Albacore. ...... Read More
