We made it onto the Hurricane Bank @ 0330 and made a little kite bait before setting the pick down. Almost instantly we were bit on nice grade Tuna in the dark. The bite lasted for a few hours then shut down just as quickly as it had started. Soda Pop landed the first Cow of the trip on 100lb with a 4/0 owner circle hook with a medium sized Sardine. Dave Henderson got a good one on a Big bait, Jim Odlum (Jim Again) landed the first Tuna of the morning in normal fashion as he is very good at getting bites. After 8am there wasn't much sign so we picked it up, looked around in rough weather a saw very little to work with. Once we got positioned again we stayed on anchor were Kent Van Sooy picked off a nice 150 class fish with some real patience at the rail for our only decent mid-day fish. There was plenty of fish boiling around all day, but they just didn't want to bite, at least the larger models didn't. Unfortunately there is a developing Cyclonic weather system that forced our hand and we had to vacate the bank for safer grounds. We will be traveling for a day, then getting back on the hunt for more to catch. Wish us Luck
