The Salmon bite was good for some and slow for others who fished near the Soquel Hole. The best score I heard of was from the 6 pack boat Mega Bite who had 5 nice Salmon. There Salmon weighed from 12-22 pounds. The fish were caught trolling from 40-220 feet down near 36'51/122'01. Tom on Mega Bite has a open boat for Sunday for Salmon so give him a call at (831) 818-8808 if you want to catch some quality Salmon. Be sure to tell Tom that Todd from Bayside Marine sent you and he will take care of you. The Albacore bite was very good today with scores of 15-30 fish a boat. The best area was about 50-60 miles from Santa Cruz near the Guide. The numbers I got were 36'58/123'10, 36'58/123'04, 36'55/123'03, and 37'00/123'12. The weather was flat calm all day long and it looks like it is still going to be good on Sunday. The live bait will be available at Bocci Boy at the end of S dock at 3:30 am. The Halibut bite got a little better today with a few scores of 1-2 fish being caught near Davenport. The Ano Nuevo area was great for Rockcod with limits of nice Rockcod and some big Lingcod being caught. There were a few Seabass hooked up on live Sardines today near the Capitola Wharf.
