For a better part of the summer, we have been enjoying good fishing with one major drawback. The distances between areas are often time too far for an overnight run and involve areas of the ocean with very little sign of fish.
Today's travel area consisted of the red hot kelp zone of 2 weeks ago. Once again we proved to ourselves that as fast as fishing changes for the better, the opposite can also happen.
We stopped on several kelps with small fish that were good for the initial excitement of a bite but not much more. With the help of Greg Muller, Dwight Carwell and Tom Morgans display a small BFT and Dorado that was a part of today's slow catch.
