9/10/14 ACTION NOTICE - Incidental Troll Pacific Halibut Closes Thursday Night: NOAA Fisheries in consultation with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, representatives from the commercial troll fishery, and the Pacific Fishery Management Council, has taken in-season actions with respect to the incidental retention of Pacific Halibut in the commercial troll salmon fishery.

ACTION TAKEN: Retention of Pacific Halibut by IPHC permitted salmon troll vessels in all areas South of the US/Canada Border closes effective 11:59PM Thursday, September 11. Vessels in possession of any Pacific Halibut must cease fishing for salmon until all Pacific Halibut have been offloaded. All Pacific Halibut must be landed and delivered no later than 11:59PM Friday, September 12.
