Coronado Islands Yellowtail!

Capt. Steve P. returned to his old stomping grounds at the Coronado Islands today. The 3/4 day trip on the Mission Belle caught 80 yellowtail and all of the fish were the nice 20 to 30lb wide-shouldered homeguards. As the offshore fishing slowed down this last week for the 3/4 day boats, it was nice to see Capt. Steve P. back fishing his old turf around the Coronado Islands. It seems like he definitely has a home field advantage when it comes to fishing at the Islands.

Capt. Alan Fay and the EL CAPITAN returned this morning from a 1.5 day trip. The 18 anglers on board ended up with 166 Yellowfin Tuna and 6 Skipjack Tuna. The fishing is still as good as it gets. Plenty more fish and time left in the season. The 3/4 day trips aboard the MISSION BELLE and POINT LOMA have still been producing great scores of Tuna, Yellowtail and more. Seems like there will start to be more openings too...... Read More
