INFORMATION UPDATE:
We have been receiving lots of telephone calls about the commercial ocean salmon seasons. So just to refresh everyone on what is coming in the next two months between Cape Falcon and Humbug Mt.:

- All troll salmon fishing within the Cape Falcon to Humbug Mt. area is closed August 30 - September 2.

- Salmon caught prior through August 29 in the Cape Falcon to Humbug Mt. areas are NOT required to be delivered within 24 hours of the closure.

- Beginning Wednesday, September 3, the area opens for 65 Chinook and 20 Coho per landing week (Wednesday through Tuesday). Coho retention remains open through the earlier of September 30 or the quota of 5,300 Coho.

- At least 1 Chinook must be landed for each Coho during this season.

- Chinook salmon remains open through the end of October under the 65 Chinook per landing week limitation.

- All vessels landing Coho must report within one hour of landing by phone to (541)867-0300 ext. 252. The call-in must include the vessel name and registration number, number of Coho being landed, the port of landing, the destination of the Coho, and the approximate time of delivery.
