Trout Fishing
Trolling is still working to catch trout. Troll around by the Dam area and the Pines. Shore anglers have been having better luck in the early morning or late evenings when the water is cooler. Try soaking Garlic or Chartreuses Powerbait.

Bass Fishing
Throw around Kastmasters or spinner baits to catch fish hiding in the shade on hot summer day. Look under docks arounf the Main Rec or Boat launch.

Cat Fishingbr> The hotspot for catching catfish is at the boat launch on the other side of the hill or by the Big Point. The stinker the bait the better, Best baits are night crawlers, chicken livers, and anchovies. We planted 800 pounds of Catfish on July 29th.

Fish Plant: Mt. Lassen Trout 1200 lbs on 08/13/14

The San Pablo Reservoir Recreation Area is now open for the season with the hours during April will be being 06:30AM to 07:00PM and boats need to be off the water by 06:00PM. The Boat Launch area is open 7 days a week with snacks, drinks and tackle available. The Cafe is also open 6 days of the week from 09:00 - 03:00 so visitors can get some delicious food.
