Coronado Islands Fish Report
8-16-2014
Gary Graham
Location ??? The yellows are ALL over the islands. North Island, Middle Grounds, South Kelp and SKR have all been holding. But the fish are mostly in the 6- to 10-pound class with only a few of those big 22- to 30-pound fish we had around all winter and spring. Barracuda are around too. Ribbon Kelp, South Kelp and the Rockpile are prime areas to look for the 'cudas. Some of these barracuda are big fish! 10- to 12-pound big!! Remember, private boaters fishing the Coronado Islands must have an FMM, a fishing permit, and a photo ID for every person on board, whether they are fishing or not. They may or may not require a passport. If you have one, BRING IT! If you don't, GET ONE. They are also asking for your FCC License and Operator's License for your VHF Radio and for your boats current registration
