Captain Ryan of the San Diego called in at 12:00 with 50+ Yellowfin Tuna for the first half of their 3/4 day trip. When we talked to him they still had fish hanging, so stay tuned for further updates.

8-12-2014Tuesday August 12 8:45am Captain Mike Pritchard on the Tribute just called in from a one day trip with 45 bluefin tuna in the 45-100lb range and 18 school size yellowfin tuna. A word to the wise for all anglers fishing on upcoming trips would be to carry at least one rig with 40 or 50 lb line on it. The Eclipse, on the first day of a two day, reported in with limits of Yellowfin Tuna and 30 Yellowtail. The Yellowfin are 16-24 pounders and the weather is beautiful. Recommended tackle includes 20-30 pound line and hook sizes from #2 to #2/0. Splitshot style sinkers are also a good bet when fishing with anchovies and smaller sardines....... Read More
