Meetings to help set 2015 sport halibut seasons-upcoming

ODFW will be hosting public meetings to gather input from anglers on the 2015 sport Pacific halibut seasons.
All meetings will start at 7 p.m. and will be held in:
Brookings on Tuesday, Aug. 5 at the Best Western Plus Beachfront Inn, 16008 Boat Basin Road
North Bend on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at the North Bend public library, 1800 Sherman Ave
Newport on Monday, Aug.11 at ODFW Marine Resources -South Beach office, 2040 SE Marine Science Drive
In addition, participants can listen to the Newport meeting on-line at https://www4.gotomeeting.com/join/433276823 Meeting ID: 433-276-823. During the webcast of the meeting, those online can type in questions or comments which will then be read aloud to the meeting.
The recording of the webcast of the Newport meeting will be available on the sport halibut webpage a day or two after the meeting http://www.dfw.state.or.us/MRP/finfish/halibut/index.asp
These meetings are a chance for anglers to talk to ODFW about ideas or proposed changes to the sport halibut fisheries.
