Gallatin River Fish Report
7-24-2014
Craig Mathews
The Gallatin remains to fish well through out the day. You'll find caddis and smaller stoneflies on the sunny days. When the clouds roll in Pale Morning Duns will emerge. Approach the Gallatin as you would the Madison. Sneak around the banks and cast upstream to spots that look fishy. If dry fly fishing drops off nymph the deep holes. If you happen to be on the river before 11:00AM you can swing a streamer or strip it from downstream. Stock your fly box with PMD Sparkle Duns, X-Caddis, Iris Caddis and Chili Stones.
