131 Yellowfin for Sea Adventure 80
7-1-2014
John Thompson
Capt Scott McDaniels called from the Sea Adventure 80 as they tied up to the dock from a 2.5 day trip, it was a great trip as the ended with 131 Yellowfin Tuna, and just short of 50 Yellowtail, over 175 mixed fish. For upcoming trip anglers want to bring a mixed bag of tackle, several fish were caught on fishtraps and mega baits. You also want to bring gear for flylining anchovies, so a 20 pound set up is recommended. You will also need a 30 to 40 pound set up when we run into Bluefin, which we have seen on every trip. Also bring some mackeral catchers for getting them at the dock for the Bluefin. Also, important is flourocarbon line for the Bluefin. They Yellowtail are mixed grade and this trip a 20 pound Yellowtail took second place in the Jackpot and was just beat out by a Yellowfin. The average Yellowfin we are catching is 14 pounds, if you want in on this action call H&M Landing at 619-222-1144 or go to the website to sign up.
