Ranger 85 Fish Report

6-21-2014
Frank Ursitti - Ranger 85

What a week it has been.

The Seabass bite continues, and the action is hot. Earlier in the week, the weather posed a challenge for many, but we toughed it out and returned to the dock with a record setting 126 White Seabass.

The following day, our anglers managed 35 Seabass and an incredible 11 Halibut to 45 lbs.

Squid remains available, and the overnight trips are the hottest ticket in town.

We have added two more trips to our schedule this upcoming week.

The Ranger 85 will depart Tuesday evening 6/24 and again Wednesday night 6/25.

There are several areas of Seabass, and it does not appear to be showing any sign of letting up.

This week, more halibut and yellows made it into the counts, as the fleet kept hard at it targeting game fish for most of their trips.

Don't miss out on what is undisputedly the BEST action taking place up and down the coast right now.

Schedule your trip today! Our trips have been in high demand with this bite!

CISC is the epicenter of Sportfishing with this incredible action.

You can reserve your trips today by clicking here or contacting our office @ 805 382 1612.

Here is a quick run down on what to bring when you come fishing.

-Squid catchers for making bait.
-Medium action rod with reel spooled with 25-30lb monofilament line for fishing a dropper loop.
-Medium-light action rod for fishing jigs.
-Hooks 5/0 circle is highly recommended for the dropper loop. 3/0-4/0 standard live bait hooks are recommended for "fly lining".
-Bring a range of sinkers styles and weights from 6oz to 16oz torpedo, and 1/8oz to 3/4oz egg sinkers.
-Fluorocarbon leader is not a bad idea either.
-Jigs, like Salas or Tady surface irons in your favorite color.

We look forward to seeing you onboard,

Capt. Frank
