Halibuts and Tails

We picked up a few more Halibut and some Trophy Tails today as we checked every rock, beach, high spot, low spot, I think you can get the drift here. It was a better day as far as the end results go, but still not the type of fishing/catching we are after. In the afternoon we found an area with more life only to have the fish boil up everywhere we went creating excitement only to get a couple here and there to bite a hooked bait. With the weather picking up we are spending the night and giving this area a morning shot before heading back offshore. Wish us Luck

The Rocks went dead for us this morning so we headed offshore towards a very nice body of good looking water only to find dry kelp after dry kelp. Around mid-afternoon we came across a very nice looking sonar school of Big Tuna, but they ran from the boat as fast as we could try and keep up with them. The evening had jig strikes on small school sized Yellowfin, all of which were released to grow for the...... Read More
