The anglers who went out to the Albacore grounds had a hard time fishing due to the windy conditions. There were a few fish caught near the 601 before the wind picked up around 10:00. The wind forced the small boats to run in due to uncomfortable conditions. The Soquel Hole was decent for the anglers who worked the 36'51/121'56 area. There were a few limits reported from the Black Can area at 36'51/121'53. The Halibut bite was still a little slow but there was 34 pound fish weighed in today. The Halibut took a dead Squid for his last meal. The anglers lost one other fish on the gaff in the same area. The few Halibut that have been coming in are from the Capitola area. The Rockcod bite was decent of South Rock and good at Ano Nuevo. The winds on the outside are expected to be up for a few days but you might check the buoys in the morning to see if you get a lucky wind window. The inshore action is going to be the best bet.
