Coronados / La Jolla yellowtail

Yellowtail are still around but being a bit elusive at this time but Rockfishing is about as good as it gets. Bountiful bait including Anchovies, Mackerel and Krill are setting the table for what could be a great spring.
The wise angler would bring a rod and reel combo for yo-yo jig fishing, surface bait or jig fishing and a bottom fishing rig that can handle up to 300 foot depths and 8-10 ounce sinkers.

Local 1/2 day fishing is back in action catching Rockfish, Lingcod, Sheephead and more. Tuesday morning's 1/2 day run with only 12 anglers caught 125 Rockfish (including 32 Reds) and 4 Sculpin. The San Diego's 3/4 day trip is a go for Wednesday March 5th departing at 5:30am. ...... Read More
